    i would love to see pak lah & FAMILY out of BN before the UMNO general assembly in November. The REAL "duri dalam daging" still enjoying the piece of cake. No matter what they say about Tun Mahathir, i still think tat 22 yrs of his reign, he brought Malaysia to a new dimension...

    For me, the only single thing that Dr. M did for us that really contributed to Malaysian society would be the way he handled the 1997 financial crisis. If not for him, we would be IMF's slaves like the Philippines.

    Back then, it was Anwars "neoliberal" learning against Mahathir's economic nationalism. Anwar was in favour of IMF-imposed austerity program but Mahathir was the one that stopped him and instead imposed capital control.
